Title: Customer Relationship Management Representative - ALLOY STEEL

Location: OH-Canton

The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Representative is responsible for anticipating and satisfying customers' (internal and external) requirements for alloy steel. The CRM Representatives work closely with the customers as well as Global Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, Quality representatives and others from the inception of the relationship on a job through to the shipment of that product.

CRM Representatives have the responsibility to ensure that all technical and commercial aspects of the job are fully understood, documented , and communicated well to all involved. The CRM Representative also has the responsibility to negotiate and develop relationships with customers involving both technical and commercial issues, such as, freight, PPAP.

 

The CRM Representative will be responsible for:

Performing all phases of contract review - (a) develop responses to request for quotation, (b) resolve differences between contract review and order requirements, (c) organize and plan production schedule dates to comply with contractual requirements, (d) organize, implement, and maintain shipment and qualification records such as PPAP, when required.

 

Analyzing customer material usage forecast and tranfers these requirements into mill production schedule that maximizes mill efficiency, minimize schedule fluctuation, and minimize inventory to satisfy future customer release patterns.

 

Proactively service orders to maintain continuity of supply for the projected goal of 100% on-time delivery to specified customers and to coordinate the actions required by other ASB departments to ensure contractual delivery performance, maintaining finished inventories within specified quantities.

 

Negotiating schedule change with customer material control personnel and visit customer plants to resolve problems and take physical inventory of Timken consignment assets.

 

Preparing, maintaining, and analyzing records and practices to continuously improve reliability of supply and reduce finished inventory levels.

 

Performing detailed analysis of customer, metallurgical, and commercial information for development of a Timken production order for steel product.

 

Performing investigations assigned by the Section Manager. Provide analysis of daily activities and future expectations.

 

The CRM Representative will ensure:

Customer information issues analyzed and presented with alternative resolutions to the designated sales associate.

 

Metallurgical information issues analyzed and resolved or concluded after discussion with appropriate designated engineer.

 

Commercial information issues resolved or concluded based on knowledge of the ASB practices available for each concern.

 

Maintain a customer item file in CORE for use in entry of steel orders and assume total responsibility for the accuracy of those items and entry of orders. This task includes the analyses and necessary modifications to customer items.

 

 

Requirements:

Associates Degree in Business with 3 - 5 years experience.

Bachelors Degree in Business.

Detail Oriented

Organizational Skills

Customer Service Experience
