Title: SR Materials Managment Analyst

Location: OH-Canton

? Manages and reports high-level inventory activities, establishing plans to keep inventory levels to target. Adjusts plans as business activities dictate and customer demand fluctuates. Provides analysis behind physical inventory adjustments. Tracks and establishes action plans for resolution of unusable, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.

? Orders all Raw Materials for Value Add Suppliers and portions of Raw Material requirements for some Value Add plants. Issues and tracks expedite requests as needed, processes overages and shortages, releases truckload shipments, orders special material as launches dictate.

? Executes, confirms, corrects all SAP transactions with respect to material movements required to satisfy customer demand, heat closing, scrap, and other inventory adjustment transactions performed in SAP with or without the Extranet, adjusts liabilities within SAP as needed, performs write-on/off transactions for all assigned parts/suppliers/customers.

? Performs other projects such as monitoring long product MOH orders by analyzing order demand patterns, coordinate trials with Suppliers and train/support Suppliers on Extranet issues, process packaging requests, participate in physical inventory tabulation at supplier's location.

? Manages inventory levels to planned levels while still ensuring customer demands are met.

? Makes sure that all appropriate material transactions are executed properly within SAP. Monitors customer deliveries and material transfers between suppliers, plants and customers, and makes corrections as needed. Issues schedules to suppliers so that on-time delivery requirements are met. Responsible for data integrity relative to inventory mgmt and control and following all SAP procedures and policies.

 

? Communicates and works with ASB and external suppliers on issues of data integrity so that inventories and deliveries are as accurate as possible and meet all customer requirements.

? Performs other projects having to do with topics such as elimination of slow-moving stock, item for deletion procedures, re-sourcing, SET implementation, capacity planning implementation, SOX, Macro Inventory managment, program launches & phase-outs.

? Constructs and issues recovery plans when supplier performance falls short of expectations.

? Develops and utilizes tools (e.g. ERP/MRP) to improve the overall business performance of the SCM group. i.e., workflow; master capacity planning; heat closings; shipment verification; etc.

* Associate Degree with 5-7 years experience OR Bachelors degree and 2-3 years experience (degrees preferred: Business, Supply Chain, Customer Service)

* Strong Analytical, Communication & Organizational Skills

* Proven success and ability to work in fast-paced environment

* Inventory Management Experience

* SAP System Experience
